旅行の経験はなんとも奇妙な様に思う。
旅先で見えるものは、私が普段目にも留めないほどに当たり前のものばかりであるけれど、全く同じものが旅先では驚くほどによく見える。
今日、現代のGPS技術によって世界地図は非常に正確になり、未知のものが地球上からほとんどなくなり、「冒険」という概念がほぼ失われてしまいました。しかし、私は、環境の変化に応じて感覚を研ぎ澄まし、慎重かつ誠実に観察することで、私たち自分自身に再び「冒険」という概念を蘇らせることができると考えています。そしてそれは現代において唯一冒険と呼べるものだと感じている。
The experience of traveling is strangely fascinating.
What we see on our travels are everyday things that we often overlook in our daily lives, yet they appear remarkable in a different setting.
While modern GPS technology has made the world map incredibly precise, and almost nothing remains unknown, the only way to rekindle the sense of "adventure," which has probably become extinct in modern times, may be to sharpen our senses and observe carefully in response to environmental changes.
京都の「劇団速度」（現在は"RETRONYM"として活動中）は、演出家、陶芸家、俳優、ダンサーetc...様々な分野で表現活動を行なっている人達のコレクティブです。その傾向から、特定の空間や物体に様々な角度から役割を与え、彼らと共に、その空間における物質の冒険のあり方について様々なアプローチを行なった。
"Gekidan Sokudo" (now active as "RETRONYM") in Kyoto is a collective of people who engage in creative activities in various fields such as directors, potters, actors, dancers, etc. With this tendency, they give various roles to specific spaces or objects from different angles, and together with them, they explore the ways in which materials can be adventurous in that space through various approaches.
